Nowadays, people are conscious of constructing environment-friendly building all around the world. The demand for eco-friendly building materials is increasing which the present technology have not still satisfied. When you look at the two structural buildings that are made up of concrete and steel, you will know which one lacks the carbon neutrality. The steel buildings are fully recycled production. The concrete takes over the carbon rigorous process.

The sustainable construction has great demands, and it is mainly because of the transforming conditions of the world. It is based on the world’s society, economy, and the environment. The most obvious and immediate way to gain a sustainable construction is by preserving new raw materials like natural aggregates and recycling industrial and construction wastes.

The RCA is another name for recycled concrete aggregate. It is a common construction left-over. It is produced by destroying concrete structures. The SCM (supplementary cementing materials) like slag and fly ash are the major industrial by-products. The major source for construction is the Portland cement. It is found that continuing to use will not help in cost management. It is no longer useful. It has chances to affect the environment further and impact the global society.

The research on recycled concrete aggregate is taking place. It is a new mechanism. It helps to influence society socially, environmentally, economically and as a whole. Concrete is the popular and most used construction material in the world. The major part of concrete is used for laying the foundation as a basement to the buildings, residential and commercial constructions. Some of the important components that helps in producing concrete are water, cement, aggregates and certain chemical mixtures.

The majority of the weight of the construction material is occupied by the concrete. If the country has large amounts of demolition and construction waste, then it can be recycled and used in the production process. As there is too much of waste, the recycling mechanism was brought into force. It helps to reduce the waste materials one side and recycle the waste materials into useful construction material on the other hand.

By identifying new ways to use concrete waste and create a market for usage, we can conserve landfill space and bypass the requirement to devour virgin natural aggregate. The new concrete that is made using RCA involves drying contraction and creep that is thirty percentage greater than the natural aggregate. RCA is said to have less elastic modulus than the natural aggregate. It adds to creep and drying decline and creep.
